Grow Supervision is an innovative approach to social work supervision. It is the first of its kind and represents a revolutionary change to the status quo. Instead of paying by the hour for supervision, Grow Members pay a monthly flat rate or a subscription fee. This puts members in the powerful position of customizing services to suit their needs AND budget!
Here are some additional benefits of a subscription-based service for supervision:
Subscriptions offer a lower cost per service compared to hourly rates, leveraging the power of collective bargaining to secure better value. A Grow membership allows you to manage your budget more effectively with predictable, recurring payments instead of fluctuating hourly charges.
The Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers, and Marriage & Family Therapists requires that supervisees maintain a contemporaneous record of the date, duration, type (individual or group), and a brief summary of the pertinent activity for each supervision session to be submitted to the Board upon request. Grow will send you a report that includes this information after every supervision meeting. Every three months, your Grow supervisor will provide you with the signed document required by the Georgia Composite Board, reflecting the hours you have completed during that period. Your Grow membership renews monthly. Automatic renewals ensure that members have continuous access to services and support.
Continuity in supervision improves both its efficiency and effectiveness, leading to better outcomes for clients and communities. Grow membership provide a structured framework that helps members remain committed to their goals.
Regular and ongoing engagement allows your supervisor to better understand you and your professional needs. Grow members are part of a dynamic community of practice built to evolve to meet the needs of today's aspiring LCSWs.
The one constant in life is change. In an increasingly fluid professional landscape, maintaining a Grow membership provides a strong measure of structure and stability. Every three months, your supervisor will provide you with the signed document required by the Georgia Composite Board, reflecting the hours you have completed during that period. No chasing people down. No trying to get a signature from a supervisor that moved to Tahiti. With Grow, you stay in control of your documentation and your progress.

Social work supervision is a structured process where a more experienced social worker or supervisor provides guidance, support, and oversight to a less experienced social worker. This process ensures that social workers deliver effective and ethical services, enhance their professional skills, and receive emotional support. Supervision typically involves regular meetings to discuss casework, reflect on practice, address challenges, and ensure adherence to professional standards and practices.
In this context, a supervisor is licensed as a Clinical Social Worker, Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Psychologist, or Psychiatrist in an expressed supervisory relationship with you. They must have practiced in their specialty for at least 2000 clock hours over a minimum of 2 years following licensure.
We are tilling the soil to get the Grow garden ready for you. Grow Supervision starts its inaugural supervision services in January 2025! You can pre-register to become a founding member of Grow! Hit the 'subscribe’ button to start your enrollment today!

After the initial three-month period, if your needs have changed beyond the scope of our services, members can cancel by notifying us in writing.
It is not unusual for aspiring LCSWs to consult with multiple people for supervision. The Georgia Composite Board allows individuals licensed as a Clinical Social Worker, Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Psychologist, or Psychiatrist to supervise. Accordingly, ideally, you may be getting some of your supervision hours at your place of employment. You may be looking to supplement that with additional supervision exposure through Grow. We welcome this approach and offer three membership levels so you can choose the plan that best meets the needs of your circumstances and professional goals.
The Georgia Composite Board defines group supervision as one supervisor meeting with a maximum of six supervisees. Individual Supervision means one supervisor meeting with a maximum of two supervisees. At Grow, your individual supervision meetings are always 1:1.
While we do not offer a sliding fee scale, discounts are available for LMSWs who work for non-profit organizations primarily serving Black and Brown communities. In addition, seasonal promotions and offers are frequently available. Follow us on Instagram @growsupervision to be in the know and in the Grow!
Individuals can claim deductions or credits for professional expenses under certain conditions. Please consult a tax professional about your specific situation.
Yes! While Grow Supervision has been built especially with LMSWs in mind, we welcome other allied health professionals needing supervision for full licensure by the Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers, and Marriage & Family Therapists.
Grow has been developed under the requirements and standards of supervision set by the Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers, and Marriage and Family. If you are seeking credentialing in another state, we recommend you check with your regulatory body to clarify the requirements for supervision in your state.
